Sunday Post #6 on a Monday

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog

You can find the original post here.

Last week has been so busy! I was unwell the week before and no one really helped me at work so I had a lot to catch up on, especially after the bank holiday! I’m on holiday for ten days now, so I also had a lot to plan to make sure essential tasks were done whilst I’m away and wow, explaining how to use Excel is one tricky task.

Anyway, for the bank holiday last Monday, we visited the lovely town of Rochester, in Kent where I think Dickens lived and/or worked in his youth. There were lots of references to his novels, including a massive secondhand bookshop called ‘Baggins Bazar’, which I highly recommend paying a visit if you’re in Kent one day. There were so many books… I don’t know how long I stayed in this shop, but I wish I could’ve browsed the shelves longer!

I’ve read and finished

Hilary Mantel, Wolf Hall & Bring Up the Bodies
Lana Grace Riva, The Existence of Amy

Currently Reading

Akala, Natives
Colson Whitehead, The Nickel Boys

Talking Heads – This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody); I find this song so good to help me focus and relax when I’m stressed, plus it’s just so good!

Have a great week, and happy reading! x
